પુરાણ પ્રસિદ્ધ મોઢેરા ગુજરાત રાજયના મહેસાણા જીલ્લાના બહુચરાજી તાલુકામાં આવેલ છે. બહુચરાજી રેલ્વે સ્ટેશન ૧૩ કિ.મી., મહેસાણા રેલ્વે સ્ટેશન ૨૫ કિ.મી. તથા અમદાવાદ રેલ્વે સ્ટેશનથી ૧૦૦ કિ.મી.ના અંતરે આવેલ છે. નજીકનું આંતરરાજકીય અને આંતરરાષ્ટ્રીય એરપોર્ટ ૧૦૦ કિ.મી. દુર અમદાવાદમાં આવેલ છે.
આર્ય સંસ્કૃતિનું મહાન કેન્દ્ર અને વર્ષો જુની ભારતીય સંસ્કૃતિ-કલાધામ મોઢેરા આજ પ્રવાસીઓને એકલુ અને અટુલુ એકસંગીની યોગીની જેમ હજારો વર્ષથી તપ કરતું સમાધીમાં લીન થયેલું, જીર્ણ કાય અને હૃદયમાં કાળની અનેક ગાથાઓ ગાતુ ઉભેલુ દેખાય છે.
આ મોઢ કુળનો ઇતિહાસ આજે વેદ પુરાણોમાં પદમ્પુરાણ અને સ્કન્દ પુરાણામાં “ધર્મારણ્ય મહાત્મય” અને “ધર્મારણ્ય ખંડ”માં ઉપલબ્ધ છે. પદમ્પુરાણના (૬૯) અગણાસીતેરના અધ્યાયમાં ૪૦૦૦ શ્લોક છે. ને સ્કન્દ પુરાણના ૪૦ અધ્યાયમાં ૧૭૦૮ શ્લોક છે. તથા શ્રી મોઢ પુરાણમાં વિસ્તારપૂર્વક વર્ણન કરવામાં આવેલ છે.
મોઢ કુળના બે અંશ, -બ્રાહ્મણ અને વણિક તે બન્નેનું ભારતના સમસ્ત પ્રજા જીવનમાં અગત્યનું પ્રદાન છે. ખાસ કરીને વિદ્યા સાહિત્ય, ધર્મ, ઉદ્યોગ તથા રાજનીતિના ક્ષેત્રોમાં પૌરાણિક ઇતિહાસ : આ કુળની ઉત્પત્તિ ધર્મારણ્યમાં થઇ છે. એવો ઉલ્લેખ છે અને તે ઇતિહાસ છેક આદિકાળથી શરૂ થાય છે અને ત્યારથી અત્યાર સુધીમાં ધર્મારણ્યની ઉત્પત્તિ સ્થિતી, નાશ પુનરૂસ્થાપન, અને વર્તમાનની એક આકર્ષક કથા સર્જાઇ છે.

આરાસુરનું એક પ્રસિધ્ધ શક્તિપીઠ – અંબાજી
ભારતભરમાં યાત્રાધામ તરીકે મશહુર એવા ગુજરાત રાજ્યના બનાસકાંઠા જીલ્લાના દાંતા તાલુકામાં આવેલ છે. અંબાજી તીર્થમાં લાખો ભાવિક ભક્તો માના દર્શનાર્થ આવે છે. તેમની સુખ અને સુવિધાઓ જળવાઈ રહે સાથે સાથે માનસિક શાંતિ અને શક્તિ પણ મેળવે તે માટે રાજ્ય સરકાર અથાગ પ્રયત્નો કરી મંદિરનું જીર્ણોધ્ધાર કરી શીખરની કામકીગીર પુર્ણ કરી સુવર્ણ કળશો પ્રતિષ્ઠિત કરી છે. ૩૫૮ સુવર્ણ કળશ ધરાવતું ભારત ભરમાં એક માત્ર શક્તિપીઠ છે. ૫૧ શક્તિપીઠોમાં હૃદયસમુ અંબાજી શક્તિપીઠ લાખો ભક્તોની શ્રદ્ધાનું કેન્દ્ર છે.

Dwarka the headquarters of Okhamandal taluka is in the extreme west of the Saurashtra peninsula on the Arabian Sea. It is a station on the Ahmedabad-Okha broad gauge railway line, about 137-km from Jamnagar, 217 km from Rajkot and 378 km from Ahmedabad.
A state highway with Jamnagar and Okha also connects it. Nearest airport is Jamnagar. Dwarka lies on 20.22' north latitude and 69.05' east longitude and built on the night bank of Gamut creek. Dwarka was known as the city of Gold. Shree Krishna came here from Mathura along with some Yadav families and establishes his own empire Dwarka. That was the legend but science proved it partially. Scientists researched on that and have found some facts.
Dwarka is derived from 'Dwar', a door, and in ancient times its flourishing port was considered to be the gateway to the main land. As 'Ka' means 'Brahma' meaning, gateway to Moksha. It is called Dwarkamati and Dwarkavati. Being adopted home and capital of Shri Krishna after he gave up Mathura. It is held in such a high esteem as a place of Hindu pilgrimage that it is considered to be one of the four principle holy places or chardham, it is also known as Mokshapuri. There are five jewels in Saurashtra, namely rivers, women, horses the fourth Somnath and fifth is the darshan of the idol of Hari or Shri Krishna'
